Getting cold and wet is not advisable as it can make you ill. however you can buy a waterproof cagoule cheaply these days. This means that if you find a girls coat that is perfect but not waterproof, you can push the boat out and buy a cagoule as well.

you can find some really cute girls coats if you can sift through the rubbish ones. Try to find a coat that is easy to close and open for your child. Big buttons and zippers are ideal. poppers and toggles just present an obstacle for children. Choose bright colours, they are more childlike and your daughter will love the pinks and purples you choose. Hoods are good for cold nights and windy days.
