Gucci is a very well-known name in handbag industry. They do   offer many other products like clothing, shoes, and other accessories. Gucci came to be in the 1921 by Guccio Gucci in Italy. His first items of sale was leather baggage of varying sizes. In the 1930’s the equestrian style of decoration was very hot, and Guccio incorporated this into his products, which by this time had grown to incorporate bags, trunks, gloves, shoes, and belts. The 1940’s were difficult in Italy and the “Bamboo Bag” was introduced, and is still a popular bag today. The 1950’s saw the company grow, and stores were turning up all over Europe and the United States. In 1953 Guccio Gucci died and the business went to his four sons. The interlocking double ‘G’ logo was adopted in the mid 1960’s. Stores continued to open in new locations in this time, and the Gucci items were very hot for the celebs and rich. The 1970’s saw the company go to the Far East, and had now gone global. Over the next 20 years the company continued to flourish and was transformed to a fully public company. Today the company continues to supply favored purses, clothing, and accessories.

The style of the Gucci purse hasn’t modified much since its conception. They still incorporate the equestrian style into many of their bags and have not reduced the quality of craftsmanship. There are many styles to choose from, including the Tote bag, Shoulder bag, Hobos, Satchels, Clutches, Exotics, Evening, and a small Accessories bag. Each style has its own grace and class for each occasion. It is little wonder that Gucci has so many imitation handbags available to people who can’t afford the authentic products. Only the best and most well-liked are copied.
