Floral Fragrances by Jessica McClintock
Written by fashion on June 27, 2009 – 11:34 amThe Jessica McClintock fragrance line was introduced in the perfumery world in 1988. In the fashion industry, the label is known for its bridal gowns and lovely dresses. In the fragrance aspect, it is widely known as a floral-based fragrance meant for brides to complement their dresses on their wedding day. The perfumes are undeniably bursting with white floral bouquet. It has that certain femininity, so captivating, that only brides can carry it with elegance.
The signature fragrance, Jessica McClintock perfume is the classic floral fragrance and very much 80’s to some extent. It’s heavy on the floral accords. It’s flower power in a bottle, so to speak. The initial whiff is an overflow of soft flowers with nuances of musky woods. The contrasting aroma of these essential oils gives the fragrance its sillage prowess.
Another scent from the collection is the famed Silk Ribbons. As the name implies, it’s a a dainty floral fragrance with a silky floral finish. It doesn’t announce itself in the crowd rather it possesses a very unique style, a quietly demure fragrance, if you may call it that. The fragrance is a tamed version of the original making it a nice daily wear.
There’s also a perfume created for men in the McClintock fragrance collection called Scott McClintock. The perfume doesn’t veer away from the basic components of the original Jessica McClintock perfume. It’s still the fragrant flowers that fill the air but this time, it’s sprinkled with spices for that strikingly masculine effect.
