Let’s talk about Blue. Blue in Ralph Lauren’s fragrance collection is a woman’s perfume. Not to be confused with Polo Blue, Ralph Lauren Blue Perfume for Women is one heady floral fragrance. At first whiff, the opening greets you with an explosion of floral notes. Jasmine and gardenia dominate the top notes. The middles notes unfolds into more floral accords that features rose de mai, tuberose and orange blossoms. At the base, nuances of sandalwood, musk, vetiver and oakmoss give the overall floral  fragrance a matte finish.

Blue may be a tad overbearing at the beginning but notice how it transforms the heavy notes to a delicate fragrance in the long. The warmth of the first few notes dissipates into pure heavenly fragrance. The best part of this perfume is unfortunately, the dry down, much to the chagrin of those taken aback by the overwhelming notes of florals in the beginning.
