Now that we are well and truly into the New Year I feel it is time for a good old clear out of the wardrobe.  You know that they say out with the old and in with the new.  Some of my clothing has probably come to the end of its time and so any old excuse for me to hit the shops and grab some bargains is great.    Of course if I am updating my wardrobe, then I feel I probably need to make sure I get some co-ordinating jewellery.  Jewellery is so very important and if the right pieces are chosen, it can certainly make your outfit look great.    If you team up some outlandish jewellery with a classic suit then you are really going wrong in the fashion stakes.

Of course we all differ in our tastes and this is no different when it goes to choosing our jewellery.

From a personal point of view, I cant stand flashy jewellery and I always go for classic styles.    I have a couple of designer silver rings and silver necklaces which I wear all the time.  I have discovered that it doesn’t pay to buy rubbish and certainly with jewellery items you really do get what you pay for.

On the other hand my sister buys the cheapest of the cheap and to be honest it really does show.  I can think of many occasions when she has worn her cheap necklaces for too long, only to be left with a lovely green looking neck - not a brilliant look I think you will admit.

There is a bit of a fad today surrounding jewellery today, and it is silver jewellery that is becoming the most popular for young adults and fashion-conscious teens. The young generation naturally leans towards the silver jewellery, whereas the adults often prefer to stick with gold. Silver is so on trend at the moment and teens are wearing everything from bangles to toe rings in an effort to up their recognition in the style stakes. If you’re a teen that likes to stay on-trend then be sure to buy silver necklaces because then you will have jewellery that will complement whatever clothes you wear.

Whilst jewellery amongst teenagers can change at any moment, it does appear that many young people are wearing silver jewellery not only because they want to be wearing the pieces of jewellery which are in style but they also want to wear what they like and apparently the jewellery of choice is sterling silver.
