An Informative Overview For Incredible Women’s Tankinis

Written by fashion on March 7, 2010 – 7:42 am

No matter what your body type it seems to be an unfair cruel joke played on women by this world. Finding the right swimsuit. There are many different styles but a very prevalent style is the Tankini. The tankinis is great for many reasons. It can cover your midsection but also allows those sunbathers to pull that portion of the suit up to get some sun when desired. For the more curvy women it can hide the unwanted curves and accentuate the more desirable curves.

Other options if your looking for two piece swimwear include the bikini. The bikini swim traditionally are purchased as a set. However, taking the time to purchase your swimwear as two separate pieces will allow for the best suited swimwear. When purchasing as a set it seems inevitably either the top or the bottoms will fit but not both. And it seems you never get the style top you want with the style of bottoms you want on the same hanger.

There is a misconception that Tankinis are only for the “older” generations. With the right fit and the right cut, a Tankini can be well suited for any individual. A halter top can accentuate those that are smaller in the chest area, while a V cut top can accentuate those that are larger. A nice flow, similar to a skirt, between the chest area and the waist hides the midriff.

The bottom portion of a tankini swimwear is also key. There are boy shorts, if you are one of the fortunate few that can wear these and have them flatter your body type than go for it. There is the traditional bikini bottoms, both in a high waisted style and a low waisted style. And there is also a skirt. The advantage to the skirt is the coverage. The skirt can cover the unwanted thighs and butt area from being too exposed for the shy and timid beach goer.

Choices In Womens Swimwear

Before you start belittling yourself for the way that you think you look in a swimsuit, consider that it may not be your body. It may be that you have not found the right style of womens swimwear for your body type. Everyone can use a little help when it comes to boosting self esteem and picking out a properly fitted bathing suit.

For example, if you feel that you need to look a little thinner or want to minimize the size of your hips, then try wearing a suit that incorporates what is called side shirring. This can be done with both a one piece and a two piece swimsuit. The material is folded or draped over and it may possibly have stripes on the side that will give you a thinner appearance and help to achieve that hourglass shape that many women covet. There may be a modest cut on the leg length, as well as styles that are skirted.

The Popular Tankini

Looking for the latest trends in swimwear? Then you don’t need to look any further than the new beach chick tankini. Considered the modest sister of the bikini, it features a tank top rather than the bra top style most often associated with bikinis. They are showing up everywhere with their bold and beautiful styles.

In woman’s swimwear swimsuits, this style actually started to become popular in the 1980s, but it has finally reached a peak in the world of beach chic. The tank tops may reveal a little bit of the midriff, as some versions may leave an inch or two exposed. Other styles may fit directly to the waist of the bottom, thus providing more coverage. However, the bottoms may be anything from a thong or g-string to panties and modest square-cut shorts. These types of womens swimsuits can be especially flattering for the plus size woman, as they offer good bust support and the bottoms can be anything from a skirt to shorts. The skirted bottom has great coverage for fuller thighs and all versions allow for ways to minimize the flaws without sacrificing style or comfort.

In the summertime, do and you and your friends go swimming in the lake wearing just cutoffs and t-shirts? For many young people, it doesn’t matter what they wear as long as they are there. All that matters is the swimming, and usually it is an all day frolic. Proper swim wear doesn’t hold any special meaning for a lot of kids, right? Even if you forgot to bring a towel you knew that mom would be waiting with a big fluffy one when you arrived home and she would wrap your wrinkly body up just like a burrito.

Well that was then and this is now. Today it seems like a great deal of thought goes into deciding what to take with you to the beach or lake for any occasion. Some will actually accessorize towels and floats to match their bathing suits. This goes way beyond cut offs and t-shirts. These days there are many choices, such as swimwear speedo suits, tankinis, a one or two piece swimsuit and the ever popular bikini swimwear.
